Brest is preparing to celebrate the thousandth anniversary. A list of works that are going to perform before the anniversary was developed. In which included work on the improvement of the embankment along the river Mukhavets. In 2017-2019, work was carried out on the improvement of the embankment from Shevchenko Boulevard to st. Lenin. The embankment has changed noticeably: unusual benches and gazebos, a playground and sports simulators have appeared, new pedestrian and bicycle paths have been laid, moorings for small water transport have been organized. During the works, the embankment was extended by 2 kilometers.

This year, landscaping will be carried out over the second part of the embankment, from the street on September 17 to the st. Lenin. Pedestrian and bicycle lanes will also be laid on the site, lanterns, decorative structures and a pier will be installed. In the near future it is planned to build a cafe.
