Cultural Institution "Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus "Mogilev Regional Drama Theater"
Mogilev Regional Drama Theater is one of the oldest theaters in the Republic of Belarus. The theater building is an architectural monument, which by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1288 of 03.09.2008 was entered into the State Register of "Historical and Cultural Values of the country" as a historical and cultural value of the second category.

The theater building was erected in the city center in 1888 according to the project of the engineer-architect P.G. Kamburov and the provincial engineer V.S. Milyanovsky. This is the only theater building of the XIX century that has been preserved on the territory of Belarus.

The theater was built of red brick, in the pseudo-Russian style prevailing at that time. Wood carving is used in the decoration of the interior. The central box, richly decorated with decorative elements, stands out. The auditorium of the theater is designed for 300 seats, has excellent acoustics.

In 2003, a bronze sculpture "Lady with a Dog" by the Belarusian sculptor Vladimir Zhbanov was installed at the main entrance.

The Drama Theater is the center of the cultural life of the city. V. Komissarzhevskaya, F. Chaliapin, I. Sobinov and S. Rachmaninov once performed on its stage. Life is still in full swing here: more than 400 performances are shown in the theater every year. The theater troupe consists of 37 drama artists. Among them are 18 leading masters of the stage, People's Artist of Belarus G.Ya. Belotserkovsky, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus V.N. Galets.

The International Youth Theater Forum is held annually on the basis of the theater "M.@rt.контакт ", which has long become a bright event in the cultural life of the Republic of Belarus.
