Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Batsevichi
The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Batsevichi is located on the eastern outskirts of this settlement. The history of the temple dates back to the end of the XVIII century, when it was built at the expense of Varvara Zabvellova, the owner of the village of Batsevichi. The building was wooden. By the beginning of the twentieth century, the building had become dilapidated and a new wooden church was built in its place in 1910. In 1917, the church was closed and destroyed. In the 30s, a village club was built in its place, later the building was given over to housing. The revival of the parish in Batsevichi began in 2010. In 2012, a temporary prayer house was built by the parishioners, and construction of a new church began next to it. In July 2013, Bishop Seraphim of Bobruisk and Bykhiv consecrated the foundation of the new church. In 2017, the construction of the temple was completed. Since then, this church has been the center of the religious life of the local Orthodox community (before that, for a long time, the building where the mill used to be located was used for divine services). Its appearance is dominated by features characteristic of the retrospective Russian style, including a bulbous dome above the main volume.
