Holy Intercession Cathedral
This temple was built in 1907 in memory of the soldiers who died in the Russian-Japanese War. For a long time it served as a garrison church.

The project was based on the church of the Caspian Infantry Regiment in New Peterhof, but local architects supplemented it with new elements. A bell tower with a height of 39.5 meters has grown above the pseudo-Russian-style temple. In 1921, the church turned from a garrison church into an Orthodox cathedral. On the eve of the centenary of the temple, its large-scale reconstruction took place.

The miraculous icon of the Kazan Mother of God is kept in the cathedral. According to legend, during the First World War, they tried to take her deep into Russia, but the image could not be moved, so it remained in Grodno. Also in the Intercession Church there is a copy of the cross of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk with fragments of the relics of Belarusian saints.
