Monument-cannon in the village of Oslivka
On July 5, 1941, the artillery division of the 462nd Artillery Regiment (13th Army, Western Front) of Captain Higrin was tasked with delaying the advance of Fascist tank columns at the turn of the Drut River near the village of Belynichi, Mogilev region. Before the gunners had time to equip firing positions, up to 40 fascist tanks moved to the division.

Higrin personally shot down four Hitler tanks. He fired until a fragment of an enemy shell struck him down. The enemy's attack was repulsed, the fascists could not break through to the bridge and cross to the left bank of the Druti.

For courage and heroism, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated August 31, 1941, Captain Boris L. Higrin was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Boris Higrin is buried in a mass grave in the Lime Grove of Belynichi. He was awarded the Order of Lenin. Streets in Orsha and Belynichi are named after B.L. Higrin, a bust of the Hero is installed on the Alley of Heroes in Belynichi.

In 1976, a stele was installed at the place of death, and in 1984 – a cannon.
