Museum exhibit of the SU-24M bomber aircraft
Such bombers were used with great success during the war in Afghanistan, as the key advantage of these machines is the ability to maneuver at low and ultra-low altitudes, while maintaining supersonic speed. In the West, the bomber was nicknamed the "Swordsman". After the collapse of the USSR, Belarus got 42 aircraft. One of them was delivered from the Berezovsky Osovtsy military airfield to Chashniki.
