The village of Kameno is situated on the right bank of the river Vilia.

In the center of this village, at a hundred meters’ distance from the river, on the territory of one farm yard lies a huge stone. It is also worth noting that a large part of this land of the iceberg is in the ground.

This stone is unique and tell a unique monument of history and culture – a stone with the name "Vorotishin cross." It is the total number of giants, the so-called "Boris's stones." There is a hypothesis that directly Polotsk Emperor Boris issued an order to knock on the stone is this inscription: "God help the slave Boris...". In the past, the citizens of the Republic of Belarus gave such stones fantastic power, treated them with reverence.

Many experts believe that the cut plea was a petition to the Lord for help and mercy, because the period of Boris's power was characterized by a hunger. There is another version: these boulders indicated on the trade route navigable rivers, and was intended to indicate limits of the Principality of Polotsk.

Boris's  or Polotsk stones are proof of the life of Christianity. Experts believe that they were a worship cross, which our ancestors worshipped and repented their sins.

And even earlier, these boulders were used by the heathen as idols for the purpose of performing rituals. This ancient complex was opened in the XIX century. With great enthusiasm it was studied by count Rumyantsev, historians Sapunov and Sementovskyy.

In the twentieth century the stones did not find any historical and cultural value, we can say that they were just in the way. A large part of the boulders were destroyed, and one of them in 1930, just undermined.

On the borders of our state have survived 3 of these giants, which probably are of glacial origin.

On the South side of the boulder carved six-pointed cross and ancient inscriptions: "Vorotishin Christy", "IC XC", "GODDESS". Another text is still not deciphered.

This giant is a dull pinkish granite has a sharp cone shape. Diameter at the base of the stone is up to 11 meters, height is of about 2 meters.

At the top there discovered the special deepening, which reported on the use of its worshippers in pre-Christian era.

There are a number of fantastic legends associated with this stone. One of them mentioned in their own articles count K. P. Tyshkevich: "in these lands there lived a lonely farmer for a long time. The first Easter day he plowed the land plow with oxen. The Lord is trying to teach the farmer who is not respecting the festival, and turned it along with the oxen in granite". Another fable told the woman in the garden of which  "Vorotishin cross" is situated.

Close to this giant, there is another stone, the top of which is barely visible from the ground. Many years ago in these lands there lived two brothers. Their gardens were similar to the pebbles. Under these stones the brothers concealed without exception-earned money. Of course, the brothers knew about the caches of each other. And once one of them decided to steal from the other. He managed to make a tunnel under the boulder and dig a big hole. As soon as the spade was buried in something strong brother rushed to the found put. But granite fell to the ground and all of its multi-ton weight crushed the careless thief. Since only its tip is visible.

However, scientific debate about the origin of the stone "Vorotishin cross" do not cease to this day, and a silent giant, as before, keeps its centuries-old mystery.
