In 2015, the museum received a new building (40 Lenin Street), which has its own rich history: in the XIX century there was a men's gymnasium here. Belarusian artist P. I. Khaykin, Air Marshal S. A. Krasovsky, Hero of the Soviet Union K. I. Orlovsky studied there at various times. Later, in the XX century, the building was used as school No. 1, after that — an orphanage. Now it houses the district museum.
