The former House of merchant Muravyov
This three-storey house attracts with its unusual appearance and somewhat resembles the Grodno choral synagogue. It was built at the end of the XIX century for the merchant Ivan Muravyev, the building housed living quarters and a store.

The monument of Art Nouveau architecture stood out for its rich decoration – both external and internal; on its turrets were emblazoned coat of arms. There were several tile stoves in the rooms. The original moldings and forged details also attracted attention. According to legend, under the house of Muravyov there are deep, still medieval, basements that keep many secrets.

For some time, the building housed a branch of the Bialystok Commercial Bank, a fashionable manufactory was sold. In the second half of the XX century, part of the house was used for a sewing factory, but the main premises were occupied by the Grodno Regional Library named after E. Karsky. Currently, the reconstruction of this monument for a hotel is underway.
