Architectural monuments of London in Mstislavl
Another building in the style of classicism, which conquers the residents and guests of the city with its appearance, is the former London Hotel. Before the hotel furnished rooms were located on the second floor of this building, the military administration was located here. It was engaged in recruiting people for military service. The chief was Lieutenant Colonel Valerian Volkov.
In Soviet times, the former hotel housed the cinema "Lux", and on the eve of the Great Patriotic War, a two-year nursing school operated here. In the post—war period, the school of livestock breeders and accountants was located in the historic building, and later - the school of the Federal Law of Communications. Now this renovated building is inhabited not by visiting merchants and guests of the city, but by Mstislav residents.
