Sports complex “Torpedo” in Mogilev

In the city of Mogilev there are a great number of sports schools, complexes and stadiums. This is due to the active promotion of a healthy lifestyle on the whole territory of Belarus. Nowadays the love of sport is increasing among people, regardless of age. One of famous sports complexes in Mogilev is considered the complex “Torpedo”. It is a branch of “BelAz” and has several subdivisions, which include numerous circles and sports clubs. A teen center is secured for the complex “Torpedo”. There are both paid and budgetary places. Though this center is sporting but there are also clubs of other directions, for example, on carving.   

The complex is quite large, its territory is 6 hectares. The sports complex “Torpedo” includes a stadium, which receives football teams of the national scale for holding matches of the championship. The stands accommodate up to 3500 people.

Besides the football field with an artificial new covering, in the sports complex there are many other sports areas. Among them there are places for playing beach and classic volleyball, a small field for mini-football as well as several tennis courts with a poured earthy covering. For those who are fond of playing winter sports the sports complex has an area for hockey, where in winter is held mass skating.

The complex “Torpedo” has one distinctive feature from other sports complexes. Here is located There is a roller ski track covered with asphalt, which length is one kilometer and a half, and a skating-roller stadium, which is used not only for training and skating, but also for holding annual competitions.

The sports complex is well-equipped with not only the sports grounds. Here actively operate a ski base, an equipment rental base and a travel club. Among the equipment in the rental base in winter can find skates and skis, in summer – balls for all sports, represented in the complex. In the covered part of the complex there is a room of overall physical condition, a gym and a recreation center for those who want to improve their health, where you can enjoy a Russian bath or Finnish sauna. The complex also offers to its visitors pool tables, tables for table tennis and massage rooms. The participants of competitions can stay in the hotel, which is located right on the territory of the sports complex “Torpedo”. It can accommodate up to 23 people.

A good and appropriate addition to all the upper mentioned advantages of this complex became the presence of a cozy café, where you can relax after an active rest and have a tasty snack.
