In 2019 the city of Brest celebrates its millennium. The local charitable foundation "Brest 1000 years" held a competition for the best initiatives for the city.

One of the winners was the project of the Museum of Brest History for the installation of tablets with historical names and history of the streets of the city. Initially the tablets will appear on five central streets of the city - Sovetskaya, Gogol street, Marx street, Mickewich street and Masherov Avenue.

The historical names of the streets will be written in Russian, also QR-codes with historical information will be placed on the tablets.
