“Still Life” of the brilliant master of Montparnasse returns to Belarus

A significant replenishment is expected in the national collection of works by artists of the legendary Paris School — natives of Belarusian townships: the Still Life by the brilliant master of Montparnasse, the native of Rechitsa, Mikhail Kikoin, is returning to Belarus.

Kikoin's still life (oil on canvas, 44x55cm) was discovered by the Embassy in an art gallery in Fort Lauderdale (USA) as part of the work on the return of cultural property located abroad, and was purchased with the financial support of the Honorary Consul of Belarus in Lausanne Andrei Najeskin.

In the near future, Kikoin’s painting will be sent to Minsk for donation to the National Art Museum, in whose collection there is not a single work by this famous artist.
