Since January 2, 2019, foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Belarus can register on the Internet through the single portal of electronic services portal.gov.by, without addressing personally to law-enforcement bodies. This administrative procedure is free of charge and is available to foreigners who have entered the Republic of Belarus at checkpoints across the state border of the Republic of Belarus.

You can register from any device that has access to the Internet: mobile phone, computer, etc. You will need to portal.gov.by create a personal account using your email address. Then in the personal account in the tab "Available services" sel ect the category "Citizenship and migration", order the appropriate service (200.12.14.1), fill out an application and send it. The result of the administrative procedure will be a message about the registration of a foreign citizen at the specified address of stay in the Republic of Belarus. In accordance with the third paragraph of paragraph 10.15 of article 285 of the Tax code of the Republic of Belarus foreigners are exempt from payment of the state fee for registration in the Republic of Belarus in electronic form through a single portal of electronic services.

A representative of a foreigner (another person) can also register a foreigner on the single portal of electronic services fr om his / her personal account by filling in an application with the foreigner's data.

At the same time, the possibility of personal appeal of foreigners to the citizenship and migration units of the internal Affairs bodies for registration in the previously established procedure remains.

To extend the registration period, a foreigner must personally apply to the citizenship and migration unit of the internal Affairs body at the place of his / her stay in Belarus. Foreigners who have arrived in the Republic of Belarus across the state border with the Russian Federation must apply for registration in person to the citizenship and migration unit of the internal Affairs body at the place of their stay in Belarus.
