Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Gudogai
On the outskirts of the village of Gudogai there is a small wooden church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Elizabeth, built on a small hill, from where, with good visibility, you can see the neighboring villages and the town of Ostrovets. The church is the main attraction of the village of Gudogai, and attracts the main attention of travelers and tourists. Next to the church there is a small square, which houses a summer amphitheater. The area next to the church is decorated with small monuments with paintings illustrating biblical stories. The miraculous icon of the Mother of God is kept in the church of the village of Gudogai.
Monument of wooden architecture. Built in 1764 at the Carmelite monastery (not preserved) in the Baroque style. The main rectangular log house, covered with a common roof with plastically curved hips over a pentahedral apse. Previously, the church was two—towered - on the sides of the triangular pediment there were two quadrangles with faceted domes. The interior is decorated with three wooden altars of the late XVIII century, made in the style of early classicism. On the side of the main facade there is a single-tiered, frame, square in cross-section bell tower with a hipped completion.
