The excursion to Mir and Nesvizh
Thursday – Buffet breakfast. 9.00 Excursion "Ancient Towns of Mir and Nesvizh" (11 hours). The majestic Mir Castle , built in the XVI century, its bright architectural look, mighty walls and towers, colorful courtyard leave a lasting impression which will be complemented by the museum exposition inside the castle.
The sights of Mir and Mirsky castle
You will feel the atmosphere of life in the castle passing through the basements where provision was kept and the Ball-room swimming in luxury of Rococo style. Alongside the castle there is the flamboyant chapel of the Svyatopolk-Mirsky family. The historic part of the town of Mir – the place where Belarusians, Poles, Jews, Gipsies and Tartars had been living together for a long time – kept the atmosphere of the former small town. The ensemble of the market place is formed by the Orthodox and Catholic Churches, synagogues, Yeshiva, the houses of craftsmen and merchants. Lunch at the restaurant.
Excursion tour to the sights of Nesvizh
Drive to Nesvizh – the former capital of the Radziwill’s Ordination. At the Market place of this picturesque town you will see:
- the Town Hall,
- shopping arcades,
- artisan houses;
- the Slutsk Gate (XVII cent.), which is located nearby.
We will take a view of the Park and Palace Complex of the XVI-XVIII centuries designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Maria Bernardoni by order of Nickolay Christoph Radziwill “Sirotka”. The magnificent castle surrounded by high earthworks and wide ponds represents the system of buildings forming the tasteful court of honor. The elements of Renaissance, Baroque and Classicism are interlaced herein. During our visit of the Palace Museum you will see the impressive expositions composed of a vast number of relics, great halls of the palace, living and housekeeping areas, picturesque Parks adjacent to the palace. The Farny Church of the XVI century – the first Baroque building in the Eastern Europe. This church is one of the most valuable churches in Belarus due to its gorgeous fresco painting and the undercroft. The guide will tell you about the history of the most powerful family of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth – the Radziwill Family which influenced the cultural heritage of Belarus and Europe. Return to Minsk. Overnight stay in Minsk.

Here Minsk is really proving to be a multiconfessional European city…
We will stroll along wide and impressive NEZAVISIMOSTI AVENUE. Every building here is a kind of a chapter of post-war Minsk history and all these chapters are written by means of monumental architecture, molding, sculpture… During the visit of the CENTRAL POST OFFICE you will have an opportunity to send a postcard from Minsk to your friends or family. We won't miss a chance to drop by the most famous stores of the Soviet Era to discover why Minsk citizens spent hours and hours in the queues. One of the most well known landmarks of Minsk - VICTORY SQUARE with its Memorial Hall - will tell us about the horrors of World War II and the happiness of Victory Day. Not far from the square there is an unremarkable small wooden house keeping the secrets of the events which changed the course of the world history in the end of the 19th century. Turn you head and you will see a balcony which gives an answer to the question - what does Minsk have to do with John Kennedy?
You will discover the main milestones of the history of Minsk: its destruction and rebirth, its development and turning into mighty industrial city. Walking along very popular Oktyabrskaya Street you will see how different industrial buildings of Minsk can look like, and explore what Belarus and Brazil have in common.
