Description

      The State Institution «Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology» is the leading multidisciplinary medical and scientific institution of the Republic of Belarus with a high international reputation, providing services for outpatient and inpatient treatment of patients, diagnosis of diseases, and also engaged in scientific research at fundamental problems of radiation and clinical medicine.

Republican Department of Immunopathology
Together with the immunological laboratory, diagnostics is carried out and an individual program for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with immunodeficient conditions (often and long-term children, correction of chronic, recurrent diseases against the background of immunodeficiency, primary immunodeficiencies) is being developed.

Hematology
Molecular genetic diagnosis of minimal residual disease in the treatment of acute leukemia and multiple myeloma, hereditary thrombophilia, chronic myeloproliferative diseases is carried out.

Ophthalmology
High-tech operations are performed on the organ of vision for patients with severe concomitant pathology:
Hemorrhage into the vitreous (hemophthalmus),
Retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy,
Early and late effects of eye trauma,
Glaucoma,
Complicated cataract.

Surgery
High-tech and reconstructive surgeries are performed on the thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal glands and pancreas using endoscopic low-injury equipment from the mini-access, under video endoscopic control and under ultrasound control.

On the basis of the consultative polyclinic, unique scientific and practical blocks are developed on a functional basis in such areas as: preventive gastroenterology, neurology with a division of neurophysiological research methods, metabolic disorders, ophthalmology, immunopathology and allergology, endocrine, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dentistry.

      Neurophysiological diagnostics of diseases of the nervous system is carried out: electroneuromyography, evoked potentials (auditory, visual, cognitive), electroencephalography, echo encephaloscopy, polysomnography and the selection of CPAP therapy.

      A unique method for diagnosing scoliosis, disturbing posture, deforming the spine and stop without radiation loading on the DIERS-Formetrik device with the possibility of a 3D / 4D scan of the spine — computer optical topography of the spine, computer vestibulography and plankography.

The Center for Preventive Gastroenterology develops and implements new methods for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of premalignant diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

      The interdisciplinary complex approach of doctors — specialists (endocrinologists, therapists, cardiologists, surgeons, gynecologists, psychotherapists) in the study of metabolic disorders is used to diagnose and develop individual programs for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with metabolic changes in the structure of bone tissue, fat metabolism, hormonal disorders, etc.

      Specialists of the Center are members of the Russian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the European Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (ESPRAS), the European Wound Treatment Society (EWMA), the European Association for the Study of the Liver, the Russian Endoscopic Society, the European Society of Gynecologic Oncology, International Sonographic Societies «Vividechoclub», «Volusonclub», «Logiqclub», Russian glaucoma society, European glaucoma society.

      Achievements of the Center in the field of quality have been repeatedly awarded — the RSPC for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology has been awarded the title of laureate of the Government of the Republic of Belarus Prize for achievements in the field of quality in 2010 and the title of the diploma of the Commonwealth of Independent States Award for Quality Achievements 2013.

      The patients have comfortable rooms with a private bathroom, each patient has an emergency connection with a medical post and local lighting, single-room comfort rooms are equipped with home appliances to ensure the most comfortable stay of patients.
