Program
Unique excursion to the Belarusian exclusion zone
The one-day tour acquaints tourists with the history of the tragic accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, talks about its consequences and impact on the life of the modern generation. The natural diversity of the area due to the long absence of man is simply amazing. In the exclusion zone, rare animal populations increased, natural resources and wealth were restored.
Excursion to the Belarusian exclusion zone is accompanied by a researcher. Together with him, tourists will be able to explore the radiation background of the area.
Polessky Reserve on excursions to Chernobyl from Gomel
The main point of the route is the Polessky Radiation and Ecological Reserve. The researcher talks about research on radiation pollution, interesting facts and stories about the local flora and fauna. Due to the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, human activity in these territories was practically stopped. 33 years after the disaster, nature not only recovered, but also increased its wealth:
on the territory of the reserve today you can meet the Przhevalsky horse;
the number of bison has increased significantly — the number of individuals is the largest among all Belarusian reserves;
the number of wolves and ungulates has recovered due to the ban on hunting, etc.
What is included in the excursion route to Chernobyl?
The tour starts at 07:15 — tourists are met in Rechitsa.
At 09:00, the group leaves for the Babchin checkpoint, from where an unusual and mystical journey to the exclusion zone begins.
One day excursion is very eventful. We tried to include the most interesting points and locations in the route, in order to form an idea of tourists about the reserve and its activities, to tell about the consequences of the disaster.
Researcher conducts a tour of:
- Museum of Nature;
- nearby settlements and villages;
- industrial complexes;
- a tower with a great view of the very 4th power unit and the abandoned city of Pripyat.
After the tour, dinner is organized in Khoiniki town, from where you can leave by bus to Gomel (not earlier than 18:00). After dinner, the tourist group is delivered to the town of Kalinkovichi (to the Yubileiny station stop), from where the shuttle bus departs for Minsk at 19:01. A seat in transport towards the capital is reserved by the tourist independently and in advance.
If tourists depart from Kalinkovichi by train, then the transfer to the train station is organized by tourists on their own (upon arrival in the city, you can call a taxi)
Estimated time of arrival in Minsk is 22:30.

Additional information
Our route is built due to the lowest dosimeter indicators, which makes our stay at the territory of the reserve safe. We will visit the resettled villages, the Pripyat river, to whose shores abandoned boats are still moored and other industrial buildings.
The reserve is a territory with a particularly high status of protection, it also has a checkpoint system, so you can only visit the exclusion zone as part of an organized group. Participants have to join the group as early as possible so that we can get entry passes: it should be at least 15 days before the tour starts.
The tour has an age limit of 18+.
