Departure from Minsk at 7 am. Departure by minibus from the metro station Borisovsky tract (a parking near the metro exit). The road in one direction takes about 3 hours.
First we will visit the ecological class, which can be called the southern visitor center of Yelnya reserve. Capably familiar with the theory of bogs, we learn what the inhabitants of the plant and animal world attract such biotopes.
Explore Yelnya on the south side. Only a small part of the swamp is located on the territory of the Sharkovshchina district, but a significant part of the activists live there. We will walk along the eco-trail and accompanied by the local guide Valery Kovalenko, a wildlife photographer, a connoisseur in the field of ornithology, walk along non-tourist paths deep into the swamp, to picturesque lakes.
We have lunch on the lake, at sunset. Delicious simple food made from local farm produce.
Around 18:00-19:00 we go home.
The return to Minsk is approximately 22:00-23:00.
Travel to one of the most fantastic places in Belarus - Yelnya bog. We will visit the ecological class, go hiking in the swamp lightly, and before returning home on the lake we will organize a delicious picnic lunch of local products.
You will learn interesting information about the life of the "lungs" of Belarus, truly walk into the swamp, breathe clean (!) Air, swim in local lakes. See the sundew, walk on the soft sphagnum, inhale the aroma of wild rosemary. Surely, after this day, the swamp will be for you one of the favorite places to relax!
Our guide will be a local man Valery Kovalenok - a professional photographer of wildlife. It can be said that it is adjacent not only to people, but also to birds - he knows very well who nests where and at what time of year and day you can catch feathered houses. Is the keeper of the swamp Yelnya, perfectly oriented among its picturesque expanses. He will take us to his favorite places, along the way he will tell about the bog and birds.
On Yelna we learn what is called a lake, and explore these mystical places by swimming! Peat lakes in the swamp are shallow, and the water there is a pleasant summer temperature. Especially on a hot day, it's just an incredible pleasure to plunge into a lake with a peat bottom. Take our word for our tourists: swimming in Yelna is one of the most vivid impressions of the trip!
ReviewsWe will be glad to receive your feedback about the place you visited. This will give us the opportunity to become even better and help other travelers to make the best choice.
