8.00 - Drive to Grodno. The traveller, who ordered an excursion from us, will definitely remember beautiful landscapes, Belarusian sights and fascinating history of the settlements on the way to Grodno.
Arrival in Lida. The city of Lida is rightfully proud of the most monumental castle in Belarus, founded seven hundred years ago (1323) by Grand Duke Gediminas, whose grandson — king of Poland Vladislav II Jagiello – a century later will celebrate his marriage with Princess Sophia Golshanskaya in the castle walls. Castle tour (around the castle and in the castle courtyard) will allow you to plunge into the fascinating depths of the past – because in front of you is one of the most valuable monuments of defensive architecture of Belarus. The city also preserved religious buildings of the XVIII-XIX centuries.

If you are interested in the history of the Belarusian lands, book an excursion with us and go to Grodno. Excursion to the Castle Hill in Grodno which is located on the bank of Neman. The Royal Gothic castle was built in Grodno during the rule of Vytautas. At the end of XVII century the king Stephen Bathory rebuilt it into the Reneissance Castle, which had played a significant role in the history of the state. Close to it the New Castle (XVIII) is located, wh ere dramatic events of the second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth took place - the so-called "Silent sejm". Grondo is the only city in Belarus having the status of the monument of architecture and city planning which are the key sights of the city and the most visited places in Grodno. The leading role in its historical-cultural heritage is played by the remarkable architectural ensembles of different epochs and styles. The buildings of the Grodno architectural school of the XII century are found side by side with the buildings of modernism and constructivism of the XX century and what is more - Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism… The most monumental and elegant Church of Grodno - the Farny Church
(former Jesuistic) - impresses by the greatness of the frontage and sculptural luxuriance of the interior. Grodno is the international city, in former centuries the Jewish population was considerable. In the program of our combined excursions with departure from Minsk are included visit the majestic synagogue which has been restored last year.
The excursion program includes one of the oldest churches of Belarus - the Kolozhskaya church
(XII century) - is situated near the Castle Hill. At the streets parting from the former Market place there are the extant buildings of numerous monasteries - Catholic (Bernardine, Brigid, Franciscan) and Orthodox, as well as mansions of noblemen. During the excursion you will learn some facts about the life and work of Antoni Tyzenhaus, the nobleman and reformer, and the Gorodnitsa Suburb created by him. The excursion will come to the end on the main pedestrian street of Grodno – Sovetskaya Street. The walk here will allow you to finish pleasantly your day and to take good photos.

The second day of the combined bus excursion with the departure fr om Miinsk.
Sunday - after breakfast - eviction from the hotel and departure to the Augustow Canal. On the way we will see the sights of this part of the Grodno region: ancient towns, slender silhouettes of temples; in the picturesque town of Sopotskin, we will examine the graceful Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary of 1789. The Augustow Canal is an outstanding hydraulic engineering structure of the 19th century, one of the largest canals in Europe, included in the preliminary UNESCO World Heritage List. It became the first artificial waterway in Europe, directly linking two large rivers - the Vistula and the Neman. The unique hydraulic structures of the canal and the unsurpassed beauty of the natural landscapes attract thousands of tourists here. Here we are waiting for a boat trip on the Augustow Canal. A large number of locks and drawbridges add some technogenic zest to the beautiful landscapes ... An unforgettable experience and beautiful photos are guaranteed!
Return to Grodno, lunch in a colorful restaurant. Then continued the tour of the city-museum. The Royal Gothic castle in Grodno (the so-called Old Castle) arose during the time of Vytautas, at the end of the 16th century. King Stephen Bathory rebuilt it into a Renaissance palace, which played a significant role in the history of the state. Now the castle is under reconstruction - returns its original royal appearance! Nearby is the New Castle (XVIII century), wh ere the dramatic events of the second and third sections of the Commonwealth took place - the so-called "silent seim". Both castles are picturesquely situated on the high steep bank of the Nemunas; inspection of the territory of the castles. Grodno is an international city, in previous centuries a significant part of it was the Jewish population. Visit to the majestic Synagogue, carefully restored last year. Free time, walks, departure of the bus to Minsk at 17.00.
Arrival in Minsk at about 21.00.
