Decorative sculptural composition “Tree of Life”
The decorative sculptural composition “Tree of Life” was installed in 2006 to mark the 500th anniversary of the founding of the urban settlement of Bolshaya Berestovitsa. The basis of the sculptural composition is a conditional crown of a tree of two trunks, as a symbol of the greatness of the power of nature and its eternity. The tree seems to dig its powerful roots into the base-a pedestal made of granite in the form of a pyramid. The roots gradually turn into trunks and branch into a crown, in the center of which a circle is a symbol of the sun. In the circle there is the text "Big Berestovitsa" and a disc coin on which the date of the settlement's origin is minted: "1506".

A squirrel is placed in the central part of the circle and the crown completes the entire composition.

A characteristic feature of the "Tree of Life" is that its crown and roots depict small plastic wildlife: two birds sitting on a branch, a nest with chicks, butterflies, a woodpecker fixed on the central trunk, a raven sat down below, a small mouse next to it, other animals among the roots.

All small plastic is viewed at close range. In the far distance, everything merges with the tree together. At the same time, in the crown of the tree, we can see the conditional silhouette of a human figure with his hands raised up, holding the crown.

On the pedestal, made of red polished granite, there is a plate in the form of a papyrus sheet with a text dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Bolshaya Berestovitsa settlement. All the work is made of bronze.
