V.K. Byalynitsky-Biruli Art Museum-
Modern Belynichi is a cozy town near Mogilev with 10 thousand inhabitants. Now, as before, this region is famous for the miraculous image of the Virgin, the famous artist Vitold Kaetanovich Byalynitsky-Birulya, as well as for its nature and hospitality. While walking through Belynichi, a pink house with columns will catch your eye. It is in it that the "V.K. Byalynitsky-Biruli Art Museum in Belynichi", a branch of the "Mogilev Regional Art Museum named after P.V. Maslenikov" is located.
The building of the Art Museum is one of the new attractions presented to the city for the Day of Belarusian Writing, which was hosted by Belynichi in 2020. Despite the new building, the museum has a long history and valuable exhibits. The museum was opened to visitors in 1970 in the former building of the district executive committee, in 1997 the building of the former cinema was transferred to use, and since 2020 the museum receives visitors in a new building.
About the exhibits.
The architectural dominant of the Belynichi in the 18th and 20th centuries was the Carmelite Church. The museum exhibits a full-size fresco "Ascent to Golgotha", rescued from the lost church. The fresco is displayed in the hall "Spirituality" surrounded by other religious objects. In the museum named after the famous countryman, you will find original sketches by V. K. Byalynitsky-Biruli, as well as many evidences of the rich history of the region (hall "Historical and Cultural heritage of the region") and a diverse collection of paintings by Belarusian artists (hall of replaceable expositions, exhibition of paintings by L. Zhuravovich).
The Museum named after the great landscape painter is inextricably linked with painting, so since 1996 the museum has been participating in the organization of the International Plein Air "The Image of the Motherland in Fine Art". The Museum constantly participates in museum forums and thematic events.
The museum offers visitors an independent inspection of the exposition, guided tours, thematic exhibitions.
