The collection of minerals and rocks, which the Bobruisk Art Museum has, is one of the largest in the Republic of Belarus. The exceptional beauty of the stones served as the basis for the creation of a mineralogical exposition in the art museum and suggested its name – "Painting of the Earth".
When creating the exposition, the museum staff tried to emphasize the aesthetic perfection and artistic value of the exhibits. Created at a high artistic level, the exposition, amazing in its beauty and harmony, is admired by the diversity of nature and leaves an unforgettable impression.
The basis for the creation of the mineralogical exposition was a unique collection of minerals and rocks donated to the city of Bobruisk by the prospector, mountaineer, master of sports of the USSR in tourism, traveler, member of the Belarusian Union of Masters of Folk Art, Vitaly Nikolaevich Sokolov.
