City Park of Culture and Leisure Podnikolie
Pokrovsky Posad, better known to the people as Podnikole, was once a rich and densely populated area of the city. This is one of the most ancient settlements in Mogilev, known since the 11th century. Since the 16th century it has been one of the richest urban settlements. On the site, in the area of modern Bolshaya Grazhdanskaya Street, the church of St. Anthony, a synagogue, and the Orthodox Church of the Intercession were placed. Around were residential buildings, shops, workshops, etc.

St. Nicholas Monastery is the only monument of antiquity that has survived on the territory of the former Pokrovsky Posad. Other religious buildings of Podnikolye were destroyed in the 1930s-1950s. Residential development of Podnikolje suffered in 1944, when during the construction of defensive structures by German troops, the inhabitants were evicted and the houses were burned.

The park in Podnikolie was swampy for a long time - the waters of the Dnieper overflowed far beyond the floodplains of the river, and the locals traveled by boat during floods.

Currently, the Park in Podnikoliye is a unique place with great potential and rich history. The Podnikolie complex is rapidly developing and improving: new pedestrian and bicycle paths have appeared, places for recreation with benches, photo zones have been organized, a cafe has opened, playgrounds have been equipped, etc. For those who wish, it is possible to ride a pony or in a stylized carriage. At the entrance to the park there is a detailed map about the object, information about the existing infrastructure. In the park, seedlings of Siberian and Canadian pine, linden, arborvitae have been planted, mountain ash and maple alleys, and various shrubs have appeared. One of the most popular locations at the facility is the staircase leading to Podnikolie Park, with a cascading fountain (the facility was opened in 2018). In the center of the flights of stairs, the main fountain cascades down, and at the foot it diverges in two directions, into two small fountains. There are benches on the viewing platforms where visitors can relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the park. The park in Podnikolye is one of the favorite places of rest for residents of Mogilev and guests of the city.

On the observation deck at the stairs to the city park Podnikolie there is a monument to Georgy Konissky.
