Dreamland in Minsk

Minsk is not only the place with a huge number of historical attractions that allow everyone to learn the history of development of the Belarusian land in general. It is a modern city keeping up with the times, where residents can enjoy the well-developed cultural and entertainment infrastructure. The list of interesting for spending time with a family has recently been added to by Minsk Dreamland.

The long-awaited opening

Initially Dreamland in Minsk was supposed to be opened in 2013, but due to several problems (lack of required specialists, change of engineers, the necessity of preparing the site because of the problems with groundwater) it happened only in 2015.

The original version suggested the presence of 7 attractions from Canada and three pools on the territory of 9 hectares and with a capacity of 3,000 people. It was created as one of the largest in Europe.

The undoubted advantage of the amusement complex is its location: there is no need to hire a car and drive outside the city – the amusement park is easily reached by public transport. The greenspace of Dreamland deserves special attention, with its sun-loungers located on the perimeter (about 1500) where grown-ups like to rest while their children play.

The infrastructure of the park is quite developed. There are a free toilet and a café for children, restaurants, street eateries. This is not surprising, as buying a ticket, you can spend an entire day in Dreamland, taking advantage of the rides and swimming in the pools an unlimited number of times.

Types of amusement

Dreamland is a children and family park where everyone can find a variant to rest to his liking.

There are not many variants for adults, but they are quite interesting:

  •  "Big Dipper Jumbo Jet" is among paid rides. It is the highest hill of Minsk, a descent along which will bring a lot of pleasure to both adults and teenagers;
  • In "Space Sloop" you are put into a hanger rotating gondola that at some point at an incredible speed moves down;
  • "Moon Walker". This is a real space ship rotating under a breathtaking angle in all directions.

For some time there was also "Sky Master", which in 2016 was removed. It was one of the most extreme rides where you hang upside down at a height of 18 meters.

For children the choice is wider and more diverse. There are the merry-go-round "Eureka", the cars "Escort", and a real children’s community with swings for kids, and trains running around the territory of Dreamland, and a funny children's animation. The number and sizes of the pools make nobody indifferent. There is even one of Europe's largest wave-action pools with an area of 2.5 thousand square meters and a popular lazy pool with a length of 500 m.

It is also planned to make water rides, and also will have new attractions brought from the Czech Republic in 2016. This is a new chain mery-go-round, a "Mirror Room", everyone's favorite "Ferris Wheel", a high-speed racetrack, a long-awaited "Roller Coaster", etc.

Apart from family activities, in Dreamland there are regularly held various cultural events and festivals. Besides, there has been launched a new project of quests for teens that are increasingly gaining popularity in Belarus.
