Gaytyunishki is a village of Voronovsky district, Grodno region of Belarus. The main attraction of the village of Gaytunishki is the fortress house, which was built in 1613. This fortress house is a unique architectural monument of the XVII century. The fortress house in the village of Gaytunishki has been preserved quite well. Some outbuildings have also been preserved. The fortress house in the village of Gaytunishki is a very attractive and interesting object for tourists and travelers, as it is absolutely unique in nature for Belarus, because there is only one fortress house in the whole country. However, there is one small difficulty for tourists and travelers associated with visiting the fortress house in the village of Gaytunishki. The fact is that now this building houses the republican psychiatric hospital for persons who have committed crimes in a state of mental disorder. Accordingly, excursions are not conducted here, moreover, the object is a regime, it is guarded almost like a prison, and guests are not very welcome here. For the sake of truth, it should be noted that tourists are sometimes still allowed to approach the fortress house and take a couple of photos, but it's not worth staying there. In addition, the village of Gaytunishki is located in the border zone, just 4 km from Lithuania, so tourists should be ready at any time to provide identity documents and explain the purpose of their visit here to the border guards or the police.
