The Belarusian State Museum of Architecture and Life will present a collection of Belarusian folk costumes.

By visiting the exposition, you can find out what the Belarusians wore in the late 19th — early 20th centuries, what distinguishes their clothes from the outfits of other peoples, how the city and other cultures influenced the traditional costumes of Belarusians.

Women's traditional costume of that time included a shirt, skirt, apron, headdress and shoes. Depending on the region, the costume was different, sometimes it also included a sleeveless jacket and a belt.

Male Belarusian traditional costume consisted of trousers, shirt, belt, headdress and shoes. In some regions, it also included a vest and a scarf around the neck.

The grand opening of the exhibition will take place on May 21 at 15:00.
