Hunting style in the interior of the 19th century can be seen in Gomel

A new exposition was opened in the palace of the Rumyantsevs and Paskevichs. It consists of exhibits from the Mikheenkov family's private collection.

Visitors will be able to see furniture and accessories for the interior of the so-called hunting style. The exhibits belong to the era described in the novel The Three Musketeers written by Dumas – the times of Louis XIII and Anne of Austria. Such furniture is often made from natural materials, it stands out for its simplified, rough forms, but at the same time, it is often decorated with carvings, turning or forged parts.
