Foreigners are free from paying state fees
25.09.2019 Minsk

Thanks to the visa-free regime, Belarus is becoming increasingly attractive to tourists. A new presidential decree allows foreigners not to pay the state fee for staying in the Belarusian border zone. Previously, each person crossing the border had to issue a special pass, which cost 0.2 basic units (5.1 BYN). Even those who visited relatives or arrived in Belarus on an excursion or on a tour had to obtain this pass.
It is expected that thanks to innovation, Belarus will become even more attractive for foreigners, in particular, for tourists. Now they will be able to move freely through the border zone and explore the sights located in close proximity to the state border.
