A presentation of award and commemorative medals to the winners of the II European Games took place yesterday in Mir Castle. On the same day, the Flame of Peace torch relay arrived at the castle.

Medals are round in shape and filled with symbolism. On the obverse side is the brightly shining June sun. I found a reflection and a symbol of the upcoming games - the fern flower, which is often mentioned in Belarusian folklore. Medal thickness 9.5 mm. And this figure is not accidental, it echoes another important figure for Belarus. The population of Belarus is 9.5 million people. Each medal is packaged in a hard case made of hardwood. In total, 200 sets of awards have been made, which will compete with more than 4,000 athletes from 50 countries around the world.
