In the city of Lida, a monument will soon appear to Prince Gedimin. The authors of the monument are sculptors Olga Nechay and Sergey Oganov. The prince is embodied in bronze on horseback. The location of the new Lida landmark is symbolic: it will be located in the square in front of the Lida Castle, otherwise called Gedimin Castle.

The pedestal of the sculpture is empty. In the near future it is planned to put inscriptions on it, a coat of arms, as well as install commemorative tablets. The grand opening of the monument is scheduled for September 7 and timed to celebrations in honor of the city.
