Grodno will be the first Belarusian city to restrict movement on electric scooters. Here so-called red zones will appear, in which traveling by this type of transport will be prohibited.

Belarusians are very fond of electric scooters. The citizens use them massively and very often. Because of what problems appeared. Electric scooters began to interfere with the movement of pedestrians. Local authorities have found a way out — creating a mobile map of the city. There will be marked special red zones where traveling on electric scooters will be prohibited. Such zones will include part of the center of Grodno, as well as the area around historical buildings and monuments. If a scooter enters a prohibited area, it will be blocked, the owners will have to pick it up from there on their own.
