The number of organized tourists and sightseers visiting Belarus in 2018 has increased significantly, BelTA reports, citing data from the Belstat. In 2018, Belarus was visited by 365,5 thousand people, while in 2017, 282,7 thousand tourists visited Belarus.
57% of the total number were citizens of Russia. In addition to Russians, citizens from Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, Germany, China, Spain, Estonia, Great Britain and Israel also visited Belarus. The average duration of stay of foreigners in Belarus was 5 days.
