Under Verkhnedvinsk found ceramics, dating from I-IV century BC

During the archaeological excavations in the village of Tyasty, Verhnedvinsk district (Vitebsk region), more than 5 thousand artifacts were found. Fishing hooks, knives, axes and other household items and weapons will help scientists learn more about the life of the Baltic tribes.

Scientists have reported that a large number of ceramic products have recently been discovered. Some of the objects found belong to the Dnieper-Dvina archaeological culture and date back to about I-IV century AD. Among the finds there are later pottery, the origin and identity of the population of which has not yet been established.
