The last but not the least: Budslav Fest on the UNESCO list
On November 28, the Budslav Fest - a celebration in honor of the veneration of the Icon of the Mother of God of Budslav - was included in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage.

The festival, held in the Myadel district of the Minsk region, is already part of the list of the cultural and historical heritage of Belarus since 2016.

The Budslav Festival has been held for 28 years and is a pilgrimage to the Icon. A long hike is a kind of sacrifice to the Mother of God of Budslav for her help. In the course of the course, a request is formed with which the pilgrim goes to the Holy One, as well as cleansing from harmful thoughts and desires. Thus, the participants of the festival come to their destination with a rethinking of their actions and whole life, this is part of the cleansing ritual.

Before the festival, the Belarusian rite “Kolyadnyi Kings” was already on the UNESCO list. It is held in the village of Semezhevo, Kopyl District.
