Museums of Belarus and Veliky Novgorod exchange exhibitions despite COVID-19 pandemic

During the coronavirus pandemic, many countries closed their borders and minimized contacts with other countries, but Belarus and Russia found safe forms of interaction.

The museums of the countries continue to exchange expositions. This approach helps to raise the cultural level of the population of both countries. As you know, art objects are expensive, so museums and art galleries agree to rent or exchange exhibits for a while.

Polotsk Museum has been cooperating with the museum in Veliky Novgorod for two years. The partners exchange two or three expositions annually. How does it work? In Polotsk, handwritten and early printed books have already been exhibited, now they will be sent to Novgorod museum. In 2021, an exhibition of graphics by Evgeniya Sushchenya will be presented in Polotsk, and residents of Veliky Novgorod will be able to see the paintings of the Belarusian artist Georgy Poplavsky.
