Borders of three regions in Belarus will be revised

Andrei Gaev, Chairman of the State Property Committee, said that by the end of the year it is planned to revise the borders of three regions of Belarus. The changes will affect the Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev regions.

As the expert explained, the borders of the regions were established as early as in 1950 according to the planning and cartographic materials available at that time. A few years ago, it was noticed that about 30-40% of the length of the border is difficult to identify and is not visible on the ground without special devices. Data was provided to the head of state. Subsequently, his permission to make changes was received.

By the end of the year it is planned to complete the formation of technical documentation and then to solve organizational issues.
