Belarus will host Ice Hockey World Championship 2021
At the annual congress of the International Hockey Federation, a decision was made to hold the 2021 Ice Hockey World Championship in two countries - Belarus and Latvia. Both of them already have experience in conducting such competitions: Riga hosted the World Hockey Championship in 2006, and Minsk in 2014.
In May 2021, two quarter-finals will be held in Minsk and Riga. Semifinals, a match for third place and the final will be held at the Minsk Arena. For the convenience of the fans at the group stage, the Russian team will play in Minsk, and the Finnish team in Riga.
Moreover, during the tournament in Belarus a visa-free entry will be available for citizens of 44 countries. Tourists from Australia, Britain, the USA, Switzerland, Japan and a number of other countries, including neighbors from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, will be able to visit Belarus without a visa. To enter Belarus, it will be enough for foreigners to present a valid document for travelling abroad.
